Camila Herrera is a Cuban-American first-generation artist born and raised in Hialeah, Florida. Growing up, Camila always had a strong passion for the arts, taking inspiration from her grandfather, who was a performer in Cuba and was forced to leave his artistry behind. As she grew older, she realized how inaccessible the arts were for low-income students, limiting opportunities for first-generation artists like her. Nonetheless, she never gave up and decided to take matters into her own hands by financially supporting her decisions to transfer high schools during her senior year and pursue theatre at Miami Arts Charter's musical theater program (2023).

Today, Camila's same ambition has led her to living in New York City pursuing her career at New York University. She expects to graduate in Spring 2027 with a BFA in Drama from Tisch’s New Studio on Broadway and a double major in Educational Theatre.
